The Powder River Basin
The Powder River Basin is a major oil and natural gas region spanning northeastern Wyoming and southeastern Montana. Long known for conventional production, the basin has experienced renewed development as horizontal drilling and modern completion methods have unlocked oil from multiple stacked formations.
The Niobrara, Turner, Frontier, Parkman and Mowry are among the basin’s primary development targets. United Exploration has participated in Powder River Basin projects operated by established companies including EOG Resources, Occidental and other experienced regional operators.

About the Powder River Basin
The Powder River Basin contains a thick sequence of oil- and natural-gas-bearing formations that have supported energy development for decades. Unlike single-formation resource plays, operators in the Powder River Basin can evaluate multiple productive intervals across the same acreage.
Recent development has focused on long horizontal laterals and advanced completion designs targeting formations such as the Niobrara, Turner and Frontier. Existing production, offset well results and extensive subsurface data allow new projects to be evaluated using nearby operating history rather than relying solely on exploratory assumptions.Sed eget scelerisque lectus, eget volutpat lorem. The basin also benefits from established gathering, processing and transportation infrastructure serving Wyoming’s oil and natural gas industry. The Wyoming State Geological Survey identifies the Frontier, Niobrara, Parkman, Turner and Mowry among the basin’s most productive recent reservoirs. Wyoming State Geological Survey
